Vintage Antique Early 1900's Victorian Wheel Cut Entry Hall Pendant Restored

  

I'm very excited to offer this awesome, restored early 1900's electric hall pendant! This pendant, from thereabouts around 1900 (+ or - a few years), is in great vintage condition with a nice bright, slightly mottled patina that brass can only acquire through decades of oxidation. I believe that this was professionally polished and buffed approximately 20 (+/-) years ago, but I did give it a thorough cleaning and remove the (now yellowed) lacquer, and the bright brass will mellow out in time. There are some surface blemishes and irregularities, but this can be expected from any fixture from this era. The matching set of starburst motif wheel cut shades are simply incredible!

They are amazing lit or unlit, and really "make" the whole fixture. The frosted finish surface of each of the shades produces a lovely ambient glow when lit, accented by the sharp, crisp starbursts and accompanying "rays". They are each free of damage and notable flaws, save the expected fitter end flea bites. The sockets are original to the fixture, while the wiring and mounting hardware are all new. The scale of the fixture makes it ideal for a vestibule, foyer, or hallway application. It measures 27 inches long and is about 22.5 inches at its widest point, measured from shade to shade. The ceiling canopy measures 5 inches in diameter and should amply cover most types of modern electrical boxes, A medallion or adaptor may be needed though, depending on the circumstances of your intended installation. All the necessary mounting hardware is included in the sale.
